About Maison Mouton

A historic two-story house with a wraparound porch, surrounded by greenery.

Maison Mouton Bed & Breakfast is a 12-roombed and breakfast in downtown Lafayette, LA, offering a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being centrally located. Originally built in 1820, the inn resides in a restored Creole house nestled on a quiet street in the Sterling Grove Historic District.

The buildings that surround the main plantation are a collection of quaint cottages nestled along an alley of ancient oak trees and surrounded by lush gardens, allowing guests to get lost in the tranquility of the South.

Comfortable and romantic, each room is decorated with old world furnishings offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Acadians of the early 1800’s. While enjoying the bygone era, the need for modern amenities is not overlooked. Each room includes a large flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, refrigerator, and an iron to name a few. Our philosophy is simply to keep it casual, cozy, and above all, welcoming.. The Maison Mouton style of hospitality is not flashy or exclusive, nor is it predictable or contrived.

You will be greeted with a warm southern welcome.
